For a practicing, devout Catholic like her, it feels like ultimate betrayal of God and of everything she\u00a0 always stood for and had defended. Although the demand for separation did not come from her, she feels guilty. \u201cI am not having any Christmas this year\u201d she told me yesterday \u201c I do not think I deserve it. I wish I could just go to work on that day\u201d. She declines our invitation and I understand her. Whoever you are who are reading this \u2013 please say one \u201cHail Mary\u201d for those who are mourning\u00a0 their marriage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-945\" src=\"http:\/\/jp2doc.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/5858f5ffe6d7asad7-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another friend of mine is mourning the recent passing of her brother. She feels angry with God. \u201cWhy does he allow death at all? Is He not the God of life? My brother was still young..\u201d She, too, deleted Christmas from the next week\u2019s calendar. \u201c I will read a book instead\u201d. Whoever you are who are reading this \u2013 please do not forget the recently bereaved as you pray on the Christmas Eve. They need it.<\/p>\n<p>I remember my own Mother\u2019s death\u00a0 mid-December, years ago. It was sudden and she was the cornerstone of the whole family. That year we went through the Christmas Eve\u2019 celebrations numbed with grief. The Christmas tree stood\u00a0 in the corner of the living room dark, unlit.Our best friend, Tim, hearing the news,\u00a0 flew over from New York and practically brought all Christmas foodstuffs with him.\u00a0 That year he became our Christmas star.<\/p>\n<p>Whoever you are who are reading this \u2013 look around you. Is there anyone on the verge of desperation on this dark, dark December night which needs the Star of Love so badly? Not everyone is able to see\u00a0 it \u2013 for many various reasons.\u00a0 If we do not bring Jesus\u2019 love to others, who will?
