– The only gift in the world where children have asked for a gift to be given in their name. The gift was given to John Paul II on behalf of the children from across the Polish Chapter of the Order of the Smile on 28th March 1984. The order was delivered by professor. E. Kowalczyk in May 1984 who, together with the Polish delegation, took part in the celebrations of the 44th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
