Litany of Loreto embroidered in prison in Lviv
– The text of the Litany of Loreto was hand-embroidered with brown thread on a piece of canvas by an unnamed inmate of Lviv prison on Kazimierzowska street. –The written sentence is incomplete “Lamb of …”. and is an eloquent testimony to the faith and the fate of this unknown prisoner. This litany was found in the prison by Sylvester Dabrowski in August 1941. His daughter, Jadwiga gave this remarkable memento to Pope John Paul II on the 13th November 1984.
